Two neighbours, one unlikely friendship.
Logline:
After a young man agrees to help a reclusive elderly neighbour with their grocery shopping through lockdown, they form an unlikely friendship that changes them both.

Synopsis:
Against the backdrop of lockdown and separation, a withdrawn young man (Harry Walters) agrees to help a reclusive elderly neighbour (Roger Sloman) by delivering their weekly grocery shopping.
Despite the young man's acts of kindness, the irritable elderly neighbour shows very little appreciation or gratitude. But when the younger man seeks to bring out their softer side, the two form an unlikely friendship which helps them rediscover the joy in the company of others. Toast is a heart-warming tale of connections made even in the face of adversity.
